Great Day!

Today is Friday, March 18th and I am attempting to set up a blog (which could be quite interesting.)  It was a beautiful day  in South Carolina and the kids were out of school.  We took advantage of the awesome weather and went to the WaterFront Park in Mt. Pleasant.  The kids loved the playground and pier.

George is doing well, yesterday he had his 8th chemo treatment and is feeling well so far.  The swelling in his leg has gone down considerably.  Praise the Lord!  He went to work today for part of the day and had breakfast with a good friend this morning.  He has 4 more treatments and then the doctor will re-scan to see how things have progressed.  If the tumor has shrunk considerably he might continue 2 more rounds of chemo since he is doing well which would take him through the end of June.  If the cancer has just maintained he might take 2 months off of chemo and then resume with a different type.  But for now all signs seem well he has gained 4 pounds since January and few side effects from the chemo thus far and for that we thank the Lord!  Just continue to pray that the treatment is working and that God is healing his body. Thanks to all our friends for your continued support and prayers.

We are watching the NCAA tournament...GO HEELS tonight for George and GO CATS tomorrow for Kentucky.  WE would love to have re-match next weekend.

Dear Ann
so happy to see your blog...often wonder about George's health status, but sometimes I feel that when you have a loved one who is ill,,,,you can easily become overwhelmed all day long updating everyone and answering the same questions many many x's....so what a great idea to blog....so happy to see that you were able to spend a fun day out @ the park. What a glorious day! compliments of God!

WOW!!! Loving the update on George, you, and the family! Does this mean it's time for me to start up a blog? idk, it took a while for Marisa to talk me into fb. The ability to connect with Jeff Slaughter was the deciding factor for that. :-D

My prayers, along with SO many others, are DEFINITELY being answered for you and TO GOD BE THE GLORY!!!

I know you know that I care and will listen anytime you need and that's all that matters! Oh and of course you know that God is always listening and watching!! Will continue our prayers for you and the family! Glad to know that George's leg swelling has gone down and he seems to be doing well.
Love to you all!
